On his way back driving from Greece, MD David took a detour to root out the other side of Arighi Bianchi, the Arighi family.
The Bianchi side officially took full control of the business in 1974 but before that it was a very different story – the Arighis were there!
So never afraid to delve deep into the brand of any client David wanted to reunite the two families once more and bearing gifts from the store he found a descendant of the Arighi family called Elena Arighi and called in to see her in her villa in Casnate, the village from which both families originated in 1854.
"It was wonderful to meet this lovely lady and to talk about the store as it was and as it is now today. She showed me wonderful Italian hospitality."
